Howdy!

Hello everyone... My name is June. My FH Brandon and I are hoping to have our wedding on March 5, 2009. He proposed in Jan. and I started my wedding planning adventures in March... That wasn't too soon was it? lol He thinks so lol... We're wanting a simple but elegant wedding. Our colors are Champagne, Chocolate Brown and Fuchsia. Can't wait to start posting and sharing ideas.. Our theme is Hearts and Polka Dots...

It's never too early to start planning, especially if you are the ones planning the wedding yourself. It also depends on how much you want to do. I just got married less than 2 weeks ago and my fiancee and I planned and coordinated everything ourselves. I'd say that most of the work started about 8 months prior to the time and gets busier as you get closer to your date.

Also, you should be getting your vendors together especially your ceremony and reception site (if they are separate locations). It's hard to plan for a wedding without those two already booked and solidified.
